Natures beautiful autumn changes is a perfect spring-board to inspire families to make arts and crafts together.
Collecting natural materials on a walks or trail hikes like twigs, leaves, acorns, seed cases and pine cones can lead to some beautiful art.
Listed below is some wonderful projects do in my art classes & community events during this season.
For most of these projects simple craft supplies can be used like scissors, glue, twine and paper.
For the more complex projects a visit o your local art or craft store can be planned.

Preparing a traveling container for projects with family
If you have a large basket or container to fill for traveling great!
Plan ahead for simple to very complex projects.
Some suggested supplies:
Glue, scissors, natural twine, yarn, sewing supplies, felt, fabric scraps, drawing paper, crayons,
color pencils, watercolor pencils, small watercolor kit, origami paper, paint brush, pencils and pencil
sharpener and small scraps of wood. Markers
You could also add fun how-to-craft books, poems and holiday books.
Nature collecting tools are great to add!
Add natural elements like twigs and rocks if you are far from nature.
