Storybook Art
The Dot storybook has evolved into a beloved classic art book for children. This inspiring tale assists children in overcoming their fears of not excelling as artists. The enchanting narrative encourages every child to envision themselves as aspiring artists. In my role as an art teacher, I have grown fond of guiding my students in exploring the creation of circle and dot art with this book.
Celebrate Dot Day
There is actually a fun dot day! Dot day was inspired by teacher Terry Shay and Peter H. Reynolds book “The Dot”. You can learn more about this International day HERE. Let celebrate the Dot Day, September 5th! Schools across American love making art on dot day.
Narrated Story Time
To celebrate I wanted to share my story time read out loud of the book The Dot, you can share with your students in case you don’t have the book yourself, or in your school library. Narrated by Spramani HERE. At the end of the story, I give a few ideas for creating dot art. Enjoy!
Video Art Lesson Idea
Another video I want to share is a peek into one of my virtual art classes, where I share some fun ideas on making Monster Dot Blow art with a straw. This is a recording of my virtual summer art camps I host regularly online.
I do list the materials that I sent out in my art kits, but you can easily get these types of art materials anywhere. If you would like to buy this art kit, or get the full 5 days of online video art camp with a mailed art kit reach out to me.
