6 Parenting Tips to Help Your Child Become Artistic
By Spramani Elaun
Here are 6 easy tips for helping your child become more artistic as they grow-up.
Book Excerpts:
1. Create a space
Prepare a workspace that holds all your child’s art supplies, a space to get messy, good lighting, and good ventilation, that is safe for the child to move around.
2. Have quality art supplies
For a child to have art experiences, they need to have access to beautiful, high quality art supplies. Lacking art supplies and accessibility will keep them from becoming artistically skilled. Skill building and experiments will never take place without them.
3. Have art inspiration around
Provide creative inspirational books or magazines kids can touch reference freely.
4. Allow Time
Plan good time segments for health creating that are not rushed.
5. Understands making art is not something to produce
Support self-expression and self-discovery.
6. Don’t be an adult art critique
Provide nurturing words, guidance and be available for questions and possibly demonstrations.
